Centro, Inc. Acquires Machine Automation of Knoxville TN
Machine Automation will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Centro Inc until July when it will become the Knoxville branch of Centro Inc. All of the current Machine Automation employees will be joining Centro. Centro salespeople will be responsible for Machine Automation product lines and all former Machine Automation salespeople will be responsible for Centro product lines.
The people in the picture from left to right are: Jamie Jessee-Inside Sales/Technical Support, Tim Gregory-Territory Manager, KC Frew-Territory Manager and Mike Messer-Territory/Branch Manager. For those of you who don’t know, KC has been covering this territory on his own since late last year. This acquisition is going to create an incremental sales opportunity for Centro that we forecasted at $2 million. We don’t plan to change our $61.2 million goal this year unless it becomes apparent that the goal should be raised to reflect the impact of the acquisition.
Machine Automation will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Centro until we migrate them from their current business system over to the Infor ERP system. Our plan is to have this done by July and at that time we plan to start referring to this as the Centro location in Knoxville. Mike, Tim and Jamie have a great background in Automation & Robotics products and we are confident that they will have an immediate impact on A&R division sales. All three of the former Machine Automation personnel have many years of experience in the Knoxville market.
Nick Gant and the team at Gant Systems is working on an IT integration plan for this new location. Jerry Walling and John Andreuccetti are also planning on being in Knoxville next week. In the meantime, we have configured the geography for three outside sales territories and Bryce, who just returned last night from Knoxville, will be setting up the new territories after month end.
